Green Tea and Stress

Everyone around the globe envy the health of Chinese and Japanese people. Ancient Chinese and Japanese people used to live up to 150 years. However the average age today is 65. Have you every pondered why has this ratio fallen so considerably? Lifestyle shave undoubtedly changed over time, so has the technology. People move with a much faster pace now. But still, in today’s date, the average age of a Chinese/ Japanese man or woman is between 90 – 100. More than thirty years from any other person?

China and Japan are one of the fastest developing countries in the world. Their working are much more than ours. They still prefer doing most of the works manually, which means it takes more time and effort but still are healthy and stress free. The reason behind it is hidden in their diet. Apart from the fresh vegetables included in their diet, these people have kept green tea a part of their daily routine.

Green tea is a very refreshing beverage that has minimal caffeine in it. Green tea has a relaxing and calming effect on the mind and body. Even if taken five or six times daily it causes no harm on the body like tea and coffee does.

L-Theanine in Green tea

Tea plants consist of a special amino acid known as L- Theanine. This amino acid is in much more quantity in green tea and is solely responsible for the unique taste and flavor green tea holds. L- Theanine stimulates the caffeine content in green tea to benefit the body in a positive way. It maintains a balance in all the functions of the body. Green tea is so beneficial for the body that doctors recommend it to cancer patients to prevent further growth of the cancer in their body.
There a number of green tea available in the market. You may choose which ever flavor or type you like the best. Chinese people have learned the benefits from the forefathers and this unique tea has been handed down from generation to generation. Green tea is now readily available every where in the world. The effects of green tea may not be rapid but you may have to take it regularly to see the difference it brings to your mind and body. Both you mind and body will feel lighter and more energetic. A calm and relaxed mind is capable of solving problems a 100 times more than a stressed mind.

So why not get a packet of your favorite green tea and start brewing up. You may start with a cup of green tea daily and may increase the amount if you start to like it. A cup of green tea is best in midday when you have spent have of the day and need to get your energy and mental balance back to face the remaining half of the day.
